Unlike traditional open cooling towers that expose process water to the atmosphere resulting in algae growth, rapid evaporation, and heavy scaling, our closed-loop designs utilize pure or softened water in a sealed copper or stainless steel coil. This virtually eliminates equipment scaling, extending the lifespan of your critical manufacturing hardware.
Typical Treatment Process Flow
Primary Loop (Process Fluid): Equipment Heat Source → Circulation Pump → Closed Evaporative Coil (Inside Tower) → Returns to Equipment
Secondary Loop (Cooling Medium): External Catch Basin → Spray Pump → High-Efficiency PVC Fills → Sprays across the Closed Coil → Exhaust Fan (Atmospheric Heat Rejection) → Catch Basin
Note: Make-up water for the secondary evaporative loop can optionally be supplied via our associated Reclaimed Water or Softened Water skids to further maximize efficiency and prevent scaling on the outside of the coils.
